Clint Dempsey thinks Tottenham will have no problem getting past Norwich City tonight in the fourth round of the League Cup, reports Spurs TV Online.
Spurs only managed a 1-1 draw with the Canaries at White Hart Lane at the beginning of September, a game that new signing Dempsey was ineligible for, but the former Fulham man is positive about the trip to East Anglia tonight.
“We will have to go there, be sharp and put in a professional performance, but I feel that if we go there and play as we are capable of and perform as we did in the first half at Southampton, we will be fine.” he told Spurs TV Online.
Tottenham may name a changed side for this evening’s game, as it is their third fixture inside a week, with Hugo Lloris likely to start in goal. However, with only one defeat in their last six games they will be considered the favourites heading into the tie.
Carrow Road hasn’t been a happy hunting ground for teams from North London recently with the Canaries recording a 1-0 victory over Arsenal earlier this month.
Norwich manager Chris Hughton, who spent almost twenty five years at Tottenham as both a coach and player, will be keen to continue his team’s recent momentum that has seen them defeat Arsenal at home, and take a point from an away clash with Aston Villa.
