Arsenal have been offered Yoann Gourcuff on loan, reports the Daily Mail.
The 26-year-old France international, who currently plies his trade for Lyon, could be on his way to North London as Les Gones look to offload his reported £80k per week wages.
Arsenal have been linked with various midfielders during the January transfer window, including the likes of West Ham’s Mohamed Diame and Yann M’Vila of Rennes. With Wenger thought to be a long-time admirer of Gourcuff, the Daily Express believes that the stars could be aligned suitably to see the veteran manager finally get his man.
Another player who could be on his way to the Emirates is Celtic defender Victor Wanyama. The 21-year-old, who moved to Parkhead from Antwerp-based outfit Beerschott in July 2011, is also being lined up by Fulham manager Martin Jol as a solution to their recent defensive issues.
Wanyama is a fan favourite at Celtic, but in October reportedly turned down an improved contract offer to remain at the SPL outfit, though his present deal is thought to run through until 2015.
