Martin Skrtel believes Liverpool’s next Premier League game – against leaders Arsenal – is the perfect opportunity to bounce back from the disappointing draw with West Brom last time out, Sky Sports has reported.
The Reds went a goal up through Daniel Sturridge but an errant Kolo Toure pass along his own penalty area allowed Victor Anichebe to level.
Liverpool are now eight points adrift of the Gunners, who beat Crystal Palace on the same day.
Skrtel admits he believes Liverpool should have gotten three points from the Hawthorns.
“I am disappointed to be honest; we scored early and controlled the game but we only have a single point,” he said.
“We made a mistake but this is football and this can obviously happen to any one of us.
“However, I am confident we can beat Arsenal because we definitely have the strength to do so.
“They are the leaders at the moment but we can give them a hard time. It won’t be an easy game but I am sure we can do something in front of our fans.”
