Manchester United striker Radamel Falcao surprisingly started for the U21 side against Tottenham’s reserves, but was brought off in the second-half after failing to score, reports BBC Sport.
The Colombian international, 29, was one of many big-name stars in the lineup to face Spurs’ U21 side, but he failed to put in any more than an abject showing against the Londoners. Falcao was brought off in the 72nd minute as a result of his performance, and the likelihood of United making his deal permanent in the summer is very slim.
Signed on loan from AS Monaco on deadline day last year, Radamel Falcao has had a difficult time in the Premier League. His poor form has led to him being in and out of the side, with Wayne Rooney having been recently reinstated in attack. It‘s not just a lack of goals that has been the problem for Falcao, but also his worrying lack of movement.
The Monaco man used to lead the line on his own in his pomp, but now struggles to perform with a partner. He’s supposed to be putting himself in the shop window for a £43M move in the summer, and doesn’t stand a chance of a transfer given his struggles.
