Premier League trio Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea are among the clubs in pursuit of Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba, ESPN has reported.
Mino Raiola, the agent of the France international midfielder, has claimed Pogba has seven suitors, including Paris Saint-German and Real Madrid, but expects his client to remain in Turin as a result of an agreement between his camp and the Serie A champions.
“We made a pact with Juve: Paul doesn’t have to leave,” Raiola said in an interview with Tuttosport. “I spoke to president Andrea Agnelli, directors Pavel Nedved, Beppe Marotta and Fabio Paratici, so they all agree. The club doesn’t need the money.
“He is wanted by seven clubs and that is certain, because they all told me so. The ones that can afford him are Real Madrid, Barcelona, PSG, Bayern Munich, Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea,” Raiola continued.
“If I just whistled, I’d sell Pogba tomorrow to PSG or City in a heartbeat. But Paul did not tell me to find him another club. As of today, it’s 99 percent [certain Pogba will stay at Juventus].”
Pogba moved to Juve from United in the summer of 2012 after only a handful of appearances for the Old Trafford club, having moved to England from Le Havre in 2009. He has gone on to play over 100 times for Juventus, scoring more than 20 goals, and has won two consecutive titles – the first in 2012/13 and again in 2013/14. Pogba is also a regular for Les Bleus, winning 22 caps since his debut in 2013 and representing France at the World Cup in Brazil.
