Manchester United manager Louis vas Gaal is said to have been watching PSV and Netherlands forward Memphis Depay, fuelling rumours the Red Devils will make an approach for the talented youngster in the summer, reports Manchester Evening News.
Depay, 21, has been outstanding in the Dutch Eredivie this season, scoring 17 goals in 24 games. His performances have PSV Eindhoven on the cusp of sealing the league title, and he could well be earning himself a big-money move in the summer too. There are a host of clubs reportedly after him, but the Premier League giants are leading the charge due to their links with the PSV goal scorer.
Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal, formerly Netherlands boss on two occasions, has been watching Depay this season, and knows him well from managing the forward for the national team previously. He’s said to be very keen on his signature, as the club’s pursuit of Bayern Munich winger – also Dutch – has fallen short in the last 12 months. Depay is seen as the next generation who could emulate Robben under the right guidance.
