Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson did reveal he would speak to midfielder Esteban Cambiasso to try and work out the secret to beat Jose Mourinho when the Foxes lock horns with his Chelsea side tonight, given that the two worked together during their time with Inter Milan, reports Sky Sports.
The Argentine international won the treble with Mourinho at Inter in 2010, and is currently playing for Leicester City after being made available on a free transfer last summer. He’s long wanted to play in the Premier League, and has been outstanding for the Midlands club particularly at the tail-end of the campaign.
And with him having spent some time under Mourinho in Serie A, Pearson wants to find out any tricks to go about beating Chelsea when the two sides locks horns at the King Power this evening. He said: “I would say it is very probable he will (know how to beat Mourinho). t will be discussed, of course it will. The bottom line is we come up against a side who are very accomplished, who have a lot of talent in there and are in the driving seat in terms of league position.”
“We have to make sure we approach the game to give ourselves the best chance of winning it. To do that we have to be at our best knowing they have an awful lot of experience on the pitch and off the pitch in the dugout, on the touchline.”
Leicester have won four on the bounce in the Premier League, and are in great shape to stay up providing they can maintain their form. They are out of the drop zone as things stand, but need a result against Chelsea to do their best to avoid dropped back into the bottom three next weekend.
