Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola has denied persistent rumours linking him to Manchester City in the summer, insisting he will see out the last year of his deal at the Allianz-Arena, reports Sky Sports.
The Spanish coach was reported to have agreed to deal to join Manchester City at the end of the season, with Bayern Munich looking down and out in the Champions League , while City manager Manuel Pellegrini was expected to depart the Etihad following their trophyless season.
But Guardiola has repeatedly denied the rumours linking him with a move to the Premier League at the end of the current campaign, and has said he will remain in Germany where he was one more year on his deal with Bayern.
Manchester City could still be without Pellegrini for the 201516, given their monumental failure on all four fronts to add to their trophy cabinet. And the dominance of title-winners Chelsea could see many outgoings at the club – players and manager. They are said to have a host of names on their shortlist to replace the Chilean boss ahead of the new campaign, but Guardiola has said he won’t be one of them.
“I’ve said 200 million times before, I have another year on my contract. I will be here next year. There’s nothing more to say. Next season I will be here and that’s all there is to it,” he said.
