Liverpool are being expected to complete the signing of Bolton Wanderers goalkeeper Adam Bogdan in the next few days, though the move could be completed at some point in the next 24 hours, according to the Liverpool Echo.
The Hungarian international’s contract with the Trotters expires at the end of the month and Brendan Rodgers has identified him as the ideal man to act as understudy to first choice Simon Mignolet.
Bogdan has been a regular fixture in Bolton since joining the club back in 2007, making a total of 120 appearances there, but he has found first team football harder to come by over the past 12 months thanks to a combination of injury and loss of form.
But he made a lasting impression on The Reds having starred in Bolton’s FA Cup Fourth Round tie against Liverpool, in which he pulled off a number of incredible saves to keep Brendan Rodgers’ men at bay.
However, an ankle injury ruled him out of the replay.
But with Brad Jones’ deal set to expire next month, Rodgers wants Bogdan to be his number two after deciding against promoting Danny Ward.
