The agent of Chelsea winger Juan Cuadrado will meet members of the club’s hierarchy tomorrow to discuss the Colombian’s possible exit from Stamford Bridge, just months after his £27m move from Fiorentina.
According to the Daily Express, Alessandro Lucci has flown into London as his client wants to move away from the club, after struggling to establish himself. However, the Express also report that Jose Mourinho wants to keep him this summer.
The 27-year-old arrived joined the Blues in January having become one of the continent’s hottest properties. He had been an integral part of the Colombian side that shone at last year’s World Cup, and was enjoying an excellent first half of the season in Serie A. He scored four times, and bagged four assists.
His arrival at Stamford Bridge saw Mohamed Salah heading in the opposite direction. And while Salah enjoyed an equally-productive spell in Florence – scoring six and creating three goals for his teammates in the league – Cuadrado flopped in England.
From his 12 appearances, he failed to register a single goal or assist, despite the Blues coasting to the title.
The Express report that a host of Italian sides are willing to help the winger rebuild his career, with Inter Milan and champions Juventus leading the chase.
