Arsenal are said to be lining up an £11m summer offer for Napoli defender Faouzi Ghoulam, according to the Daily Express.
Ghoulam has been linked with a move to England in the past, having first emerged as a possible replacement for Patrice Evra at Manchester United last summer while with French side St Etienne, before being looked at by Chelsea back in the January transfer window.
However, he eventually linked up with Napoli in Serie A, but Arsenal kept a close watch on him regardless.
Former boss Rafa Benitez is thought to be keen on bringing him along to Real Madrid with him, but reports in Europe are suggesting that Arsenal are frontrunners to land his signature.
Napoli are willing to listen to offers of around £11m for his signature, despite stories claiming they rejected a similar fee from Chelsea in the new year.
Arsenal already have Nacho Monreal and Kieran Gibbs to fill the left-back slot, but Wenger is still keen on bringing more backup into his squad.
