Chelsea are said to be preparing a cash plus player deal to help them sign Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann, with Mohamed Salah being offered up in exchange, according to the Daily Star.
The France international has been a target for Jose Mourinho before, and now looks to make another move for him again this summer in a bid to freshen up his attacking options.
With Didier Drogba already gone, Mourinho is on the verge of bringing in striker Radamel Falcao as his replacement, and now apparently wants to follow that up by drinking in Griezmann.
Operating either as a central striker or on the flank, the France international would certainly provide the Blues with more added depth in multiple positions.
And it is that versatility that has apparently attracted Mourinho’s interest.
However, Atletico won’t want to give him up without getting something in return, prompting Chelsea to add outcast winger Mohamed Salah in as part of the £35.5m deal.
