Chelsea have reportedly agreed a deal to sign Monaco striker Radamel Falcao on a season long loan, according to Sky Sports.
The 29-year-old spent the previous campaign on loan with Manchester United, but failed to impress enough to turn his loan move into a permanent deal, having found the net only four times in 26 appearances.
However, following the release of veteran frontman Didier Drogba, the Blues have been on the lookout for a new striker to act as competition for Diego Costa, with rumours spreading that Falcao could be the man to take his place.
And it now appears that the deal has gone ahead and the striker will link up with his new teammates following his return from the Copa America.
Like Diego Costa, Falcao was once a prolific force with Atletico Madrid, but a serious injury at the start of 2014 has seen many question whether he will ever get back to the same level.
