Former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has been named as the most influential person in Premier League history.
In a list compiled by the Daily Mail, the veteran tactician saw off competition from the likes of Roman Abramovich, Rupert Murdoch and Richard Scudamore to exert his influence on the top flight.
Current Premier League managers Arsene Wenger and Jose Mourinho also featured amongst the top ten along witch included Ferguson’s iconic former charge, David Beckham.
Ferguson won 13 Premier League titles during his lengthy spell in charge at Old Trafford, and there is no denying that he remains the most successful boss in English football history, helping United to dominate the division for 20 years.
He finally stood down from his position back in 2013, but left behind a legacy that will likely never be matched.
Other entries rounding up the top 10 include Jean-Marc Bosman, David Dein and Eric Cantona.
