Though Blues chief Roman Abramovic has sanctioned the veteran shot stopper’s exit from the club this summer, confirming that he will be permitted to link up with another English side instead of being pushed out overseas.
Mourinho has reluctantly had to accept the chairman’s decision on the matter, but intends to make life difficult over the summer for anyone that dares to snap up the 33-year-old.
Cech is believed to fancy a move to Arsenal, has he hopes to stay in London, however, Manchester United could also be a possible destination as they seek a replacement for David de Gea should he join Real Madrid.
Mourinho was asked whether the club will let Cech pick his next club, to which he replied: “Perhaps, perhaps. But for every club that is interested in Petr, I can find a player that I like in that team too.”
However, the Portuguese tactician remained coy when quizzed on who would have the final say on the goalkeeper’s future.
“My answer is not important because the owner is the owner, he is the person with the perspective I admire a lot, respect a lot.
“He respects a lot of people who do important things for him like Petr. Since 2004 to 2014/15, 11 years of success with the club, 11 years of unbelievable behaviour. I will have to accept any decision that the owner has.
“I’m different. I have the same respect for Petr that everybody at the club has, but my answer would be no way. If the answer (from the owner) is different I will accept that.”
