Italian giants Inter Milan are reportedly ready to allow midfielder star Hernanes move to Liverpool this summer after ruling out an exit for Croatian youngster Meteo Kovacic, the Daily Express reports.
The playmaking pair have both been linked with a switch to Anfield recently as manager Brendan Rodgers continues to search for Steven Gerrard’s replacement.
Rodgers is known to prefer Kovacic, but reports in Tuttomercato.web claim that Inter chief Roberto Mancini wants to pair him alongside new boy Geoffrey Kondogbia next season, and is reluctant to let him go.
And that decision has apparently given the Reds the green light to make a move for Hernanes.
Mancini is also said to be closing in on a move for Marseille starlet Giannelli Imbula, and would also be willing to allow Colombian midfield star Fredy Guarin to leave as well.
The 30-year-old Brazil international linked up with Inter in January of 2014 from fellow Serie A side Lazio, and has so far made 50 appearances for the club, scoring seven goals.
