Manchester United have apparently agreed a fee with French side Valenciennes to complete a move young defensive star Dayot Upamecano, according to the Metro.
A fee of just £700,000 is believed to have been agreed by the two clubs to secure the centre-back’s signature and bring him to Old Trafford.
However, the 16-year-old will not be drafted into the first team just yet, and will instead be viewed as one for the future and will bide his time in the club’s development squad for the time being.
Upamecano is being tipped for a huge future in the game, as he already possesses the physical presence and speed required to make it as a defender at the top level, and though many United fans may not have heard of him, they should indeed be very excited about this move.
According to overseas sources, United have beaten the likes of Arsenal and Manchester City to his signature, highlighting just how highly thought of he is despite his tender years.
