Manchester United are reportedly preparing a number offer to seal the deal to sign Real Madrid legend Sergio Ramos this summer, according to the Daily Express.
Ramos has fallen out with Madrid president Florentino Perez, having allowed his contract to run down to its final two years.
And after threatening to quite the Spanish giants, United boss Louis van Gaal is eager to be the first in the queue to take him away should it come to that.
So much so, that according to sources in Spain, the Red Devils are willing to make him a lucrative offer of £250,000-per-week over a five-year deal – something that would likely see him end his career at Old Trafford.
Ramos held talks with general director Jose Angel Sanchez at the club’s Valdebebas training base on Wednesday afternoon to discuss his future.
United have apparently made a £35m offer for Ramos, but that is believed to have been rejected by the La Liga giants.
