Following his £11m move from Chelsea on Monday, new Arsenal stopper Petr Cech has already sat down with the club’s in house media team to outline his ambitions for this new chapter in his career.
Having been comfortably installed as Chelsea’s number one for the past decade, he admitted that he had to ask himself some serious questions in the past few months, having lost his place in the first team to Thibaut Courtois.
But he is now looking forward to getting started with the north London giants, and is already hoping to use his considerable experience to help the club pick up some more silverware.
Arsenal haven’t picked up a Premier League title since the 2003/04 season, and have only managed two FA Cup winners medals during that time.
Cech made a total of 486 appearances for Chelsea since joining from French side Rennes in the summer of 2004, and became one of the Blues’ most decorated ever players during that time, winning 15 trophies in the process.
