Reports in France Football have claimed that Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has met with the mega rich owners of Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint Germain in Qatar this weekend to discuss the sale of Cristiano Ronaldo.
With Financial Fair Play rules now being relaxed, the French champions are believed to be weighing up a move for the Ballon d’Or winner this summer.
Both PSG and Manchester City are now free to pursue big money deals and become big players in the transfer market once again.
The Parisian side are known to have wanted to bring Ronaldo on board for some time now, and upon the recent news that Perez could be tempted to cash in on the 30-year-old before he gets too old to command a bigger transfer fee.
However, it is believed that in Qatar, Perez told PSG’s owners, who aren’t afraid to splash the cash, that it will still take a world record fee to prize him away from the Bernabeu.
