The agent of Juventus forward Fernando Llorente was reportedly in London on Tuesday to discuss the possibility of his client completing a summer move to Arsenal, according to the Metro.
The Spaniard could be set to move to The Emirates for £11m, the Metro report, after finding his future with the Old Lady in doubt following the arrivals of Paulo Dybala and Mario Mandzukic.
The 30-year-old has struggled at the Juventus Stadium since his switch from Athletic Bilbao in 2013. Last season, he scored just seven goals from 31 Serie A games.
Despite his struggles since his move to Italy, he has enjoyed a lot of success, both for Juve and for his national side. He is a World Cup winner, and was also in the Spain squad that went on to win Euro 2012.
And he was able to celebrate a league and cup double for Massimiliano Allegri’s side last season.
That experience of winning silverware, and knowing what it takes to make those final – but most challenging – steps is likely to benefit Arsene Wenger’s young and exciting squad.
