Arsenal have been dealt a pre-season blow after learning that veteran midfielder Tomas Rosicky will be out of action for the next five weeks after picking up a knee injury whilst on international duty, according to the Metro.
The 34-year-old only singed a new one-year extension back in May, but has already put his chances of playing regular first team football under threat by sustaining an injury when away with the Czech Republic.
And now the Daily Mail is reporting that both he and Danny Welbeck will miss out on the club’s pre-season tour in Singapore and the Emirate Cup.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger confirmed that he sustained the knock during his country’s clash with Iceland and will now be missing for the next four to five weeks.
