Arsenal are reportedly ready to try and sign Borussia Dortmund forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, and are willing to pay the German side ‘in excess of £30m’ to make a deal happen, according to the Telegraph.
The Telegraph report that Arsene Wenger is a big fan of the player, and may now let that interest manifest into a bid as he looks to bolster his attacking options ahead of the new Premier League season.

The 26-year-old was one of the driving forces that helped the Bundesliga team move away from trouble, after spending much of the early part of the campaign in the bottom three. He scored 16 goals from 33 top flight appearances as Dortmund recovered to comfortably finish in the top half come the end of the season.
His efforts last season proved his versatility as he was moved into a central role, having spent much of his Westfalenstadion career in a slightly wider role as Robert Lewandowski was deployed down the middle.
With the likes of Olivier Giroud and Alexis Sanchez already at Wenger’s disposal, that adaptability will allow him to maintain a role in the side depending on where he is needed.
As well as proving that he can be a lethal goalscorer, he boasts incredible pace. That will allow them the luxury to change their style if they are struggling to break sides down. While Giroud is equally impressive in front of goal, he does not have the speed to lose his man. That injection of pace will offer a dimension that may help them end their wait for the title.
