Arsenal star Aaron Ramsey has admitted that he is flattered by speculation linking him with a move to Barcelona, and suggested that he would like to play in La Liga one day, the Daily Star report.
“They did the treble last year and it’s just really nice to be linked with one of the best clubs in the world,” he explained.
“One day I would like to go over to Spain to play just to see what it’s like and to experience that,” he added.
But, Gunners fans do not need to worry for the time-being, as he insisted that he’s happy at the Emirates and believes that they can achieve a lot in the coming years.
“But at the moment I’m with Arsenal and I feel like this Arsenal team can go and be successful and challenge for things,” he said.
The Welshman has enjoyed an impressive rise with the north London outfit, and one that many may not have been expecting after suffering the sickening leg break during a clash with Stoke City in 2010. While his promise was obvious beforehand, there were questions about whether he would ever be able to realise his potential following such a horrific setback.
However, he has fought his way back, and has cemented himself as an integral part of Arsene Wenger’s plans. He scored the winning goal in last year’s FA Cup final, and followed that up with six goals and six assists in the Premier League during the last campaign.
If he can enjoy another excellent campaign, then the Gunners may finally be able to add the top flight title crown to their two consecutive FA Cup final wins, and a move to the Nou Camp may suddenly seem much less tempting.
