Arsenal are said to be planning an exciting for Barcelona forward Pedro Rodriguez, according to a report in The Telegraph.
Pedro has been consistently linked with a move this summer, despite only recently penning a new deal to keep him at the Nou Camp until 2019.
The 27-year-old managed to bag himself 11 goals in Barca’s march towards the La Liga title last term, but still found himself frustrated by the form of Luis Suarez and Neymar Jr, whose excellent form kept him down in the pecking order.
And now The Telegraph are reporting that the Gunners have made initial contact with the Catalans over a summer move as they hope to line him up alongside former teammate Alexis Sanchez.
However, Pedro’s new deal saw the club include an astonishing £110m buyout clause, meaning all the power will be with Barca should all parties make it to the negotiating table.
But with the Gunners in the market for a new forward, a move for Pedro would suit them both as he possesses the necessary European and championship experience to bring a viable threat to the Emirates.
