Jose Mourinho has confirmed that Filipe Luis is set to leave the club in the coming days, according to BBC Sport.
The left-back moved to Stamford Bridge from Atletico Madrid last summer, but looks set to return to the La Liga side after the manager’s comments.
“In this moment we need a left-back because I think we are selling Filipe Luis now or tomorrow,” he said.
Cesar Azpilicueta has insisted that he is not concerned about Mourinho’s comments, according to the Daily Express.
The Spaniard spent much of the campaign on the left side of defence, but admitted that he expected to be given competition.
“At great clubs like Chelsea you have competition in all positions and you have to fight every day for your place,” he explained.
Chelsea have reportedly moved ahead of Liverpool and Manchester United in the race to sign Pedro from Barcelona, the Daily Express report.
The 27-year-old has supposedly agreed a four-year deal at Stamford Bridge.
