Chelsea are set to offer up midfielder Mario Pasalic to French side Monaco to help them wrap up the season long loan for Colombian international striker Radamel Falcao, the Daily Express reports.
The 20-year-old German-born Croatian international linked up with the Blues last summer from Hajduk Split for an undisclosed fee, but was immediately sent on loan to Spanish side Elche on a season long loan.
He made 35 appearances for the Spaniards during the 2014/15 campaign, scoring three goals, though he now looks set to be heading out on another temporary deal as part of the deal that will see Falcao move in the opposite direction.
Still yet to make a first team appearance for Chelsea, Pasalic will seemingly have to bide his time once again.
Falcao, however, will be hoping that Jose Mourinho can deliver his promise to help him return to being one of Europe’s most feared strikers once again, having failed to make an impact at Manchester United last season.
“It hurts me that people in England think that the real Falcao is the one we saw at Manchester United,” Mourinho said last month.
“If I can help Falcao reach his level again, I will do it.”
