The agent of Paris Saint Germain striker Edinson Cavani has said that the player has no interest in joining Manchester United this summer, the Daily Express reports.
The Uruguayan international is apparently high up on Louis van Gaal’s wish list during the current transfer window as the Dutchman continues to seek reinforcements in his attack.
And while The Express have linked Bayern Munich duo Thomas Muller and Robert Lewandowski, they also claim that United made an enquiry into Cavani’s availability when they were approached by the French giants about Angel di Maria.
And though his agent, Walter Guglielmone, has admitted that there has been some interest shown in his client’s signature already this summer, but a move away from the Parc des Princes was never really on the cards.
“This summer, Edi has received interest from big clubs who are looking for a centre forward,” he said.
“But he has not listened to them because the end of last season gave him guarantees in terms of his position.
“We think that Ibrahimovic will play further and further away from the front line in order to touch the ball more and that he will leave the striker position to Edinson, which happened several times at the end of last season.
“In these conditions, Edi can but only be happy at PSG.”
