Italian giants Roma have reportedly put former England international full-back Ashley Cole up for sale just 12 months after he arrived in the country, the Daily Express reports.
The 34-year-old endured a tempestuous spell in Serie A last term, making just 16 appearances across all competitions as he failed to get a regular foothold in the first team.
And The Express (via Football Italia) claim that Cole has been told that he is surplus to requirements in the capital, and may be invited to leave alongside the likes of Seydou Doumbia, Mattia Destro, Gervinho or Adem Ljajic.
It will bring into question just what he intends to do next. Having been released by Chelsea last summer, many believed that his switch to Italy would be his last move before hanging up his boots, but with it going so poorly he may decide for one more crack at the big time before hanging up his boots.
