Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal is apparently ready to make a fresh run at bringing Gareth Bale to the club from Real Madrid, according to the Metro.
United were heavily tipped to make a move for the Welshman earlier in the summer, but the move was quickly put on ice after new Madrid boss Rafael Benitez promised to build the team around him (via Goal.com) and rebuild his reputation as one of the best players in the world following a tricky campaign at the Bernabeu last season.
However, a new report in the Daily Mirror believes that sources inside Old Trafford have apparently confirmed that the club are still keen on bringing Bale back to the Premier League this summer, and will make a fresh approach for him imminently.
The Metro claim that the La Liga giants are valuing Bale at a whopping £95m, and though United have already spent a considerable amount of their transfer budget already, the club will look to raise the extra funds to put the deal through.
