Manchester United are said to be weighing up a move for Paris Saint Germain full-back Gregory van der Weil, according to reports in the Daily Express.
The Dutch international is being widely tipped to leave the Ligue 1 champions this summer after boss Laurent Blanc made Serge Aurier’s lean move from Toulouse permanent.
Having joined the club in 2012, the 27-year-old has made a total of 104 appearances, contributing to their last three title victories.
Serie A giants Roma are believed to be in the hunt for his signature, but reports in France have claimed that Manchester United are in pole position to snap him up.
However, while they are said to be leading to charge to prize him way from the French capital, they are yet to make a formal offer for his services.
But there is still time for him to become the club’s second major signing of the summer behind compatriot Memphis Depay.
