Manchester United goalkeeper Victor Valdes is being tipped to make a quick exit from the club this summer as reports in the Metro claim that he is on the verge of signing for ambitious Turkish outfit Antalyaspor.
Valdes has a golden opportunity to make the United number one spot his own as David de Gea’s future remains in the balance, but reports this week claim he is on his way to Turkey.
The club have already signed Valdes’ former Barcelona teammate Samuel Eto’o, and are working on a deal to bring in Ronaldinho as the newly promoted side prepare for life in the Turkish top flight.
And now, Antalyaspor press officer, Hasan Ali Ceylan, has confirmed that a move for Valdes is in the pipeline.
“We are in talks with Victor Valdes. Once an agreement is reached we will be able to sign yet another world star to Antalyaspor.” Ceylan told Eurospor TR.
Valdes joined United in January on a free transfer, but went on to make only two appearances for the club before the end of the season.
