Manchester United are said to be looking at bringing in two Bayern Munich strikers this summer to bolster their own forward line.
According to a report in the Metro, Louis van Gaal is ready to step up his interest in both Thomas Muller and Robert Lewandowski in a bid to restock his options in attack.
The Red Devils have already added to their defensive and midfield numbers with the recent arrivals of Matteo Darmian, Morgan Schneiderlin and Bastian Schweinsteiger, but are in desperate need of new strikers following the departures of Radamel Falcao and Robin van Persie.
Both players have previously been linked with respective moves to Old Trafford, but now according to The Express van Gaal is ready to spring into action to bring the two of them to the club.
The Metro goes on to state that United will need to cough up around £102.4m to prize them away from the Alianz Arena.
However, having already lost Schweinsteiger, it is unlikely that Bayern chief Pep Guardiola will want to part with even one of them. There would be no sense in him giving himself a massive rebuilding project to contend with just weeks before the new season kicks off.
