Manchester United could be set to launch an £8m bid to hijack Chelsea’s move for Stoke City goalkeeper Asmir Begovic, according to the Daily Mail.
The Red Devils are in the market for a new ‘keeper this summer, with David de Gea possibly on his way to Real Madrid after impressing the Spanish giants with his world class displays in the Premier League in 2014/15.
Chelsea also want Begovic this summer, with the Blues eyeing a replacement for new Arsenal star Petr Cech, who played as a backup to Thibaut Courtois last season.
However, the lure of a starting spot could mean the Bosnian shot-stopper would end up favouring a move to Old Trafford over a bench role at Stamford Bridge.
