Reports in Spain are heating up with the rumour that Barcelona winger Pedro has asked to leave the club and is close to joining Manchester United.
According to popular Spanish broadsheet Cope the Spanish international has decided to call time on his 10-year career in Catalonia following serious considerations into his prospects of first team football.
Barcelona coach Luis Enrique is keen to keep hold of the 27-year-old, but has said that he does not intend to stand in his way should he decide to move on in the coming weeks.
The club had recently reduced Pedro’s buyout clause from €150m to €30m after the player asked for it to be brought down.
Copa claim that as well as United, both Liverpool and Paris Saint Germain are targeting a move for his signature, too, though the Red Devils are the only club to have made a formal offer for him.
And should PSG move for Angel di Maria, Pedro’s arrival at Old Trafford would be almost guaranteed.
