Tottenham Hotspur are said to be ready to turn their attentions towards Manchester United winger Ashley Young after being scared off by the hefty £25m price tag Crystal Palace placed on Yannick Bolasie, the Daily Mirror reports.
Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino has made a new wide man his top priority this summer, and The Mirror believed that Bolasie had been top of his wish list.
Bolasie is said to be keen on making the move to North London, but Palace aren’t prepared to let him go without a fight, and will make Tottenham work hard for his signature should they make an official bid.
However, Spurs are weighing up other options, too, with Manchester United’s Ashley Young also on their radar.
The 30-year-old is facing an uncertain future at Old Trafford as he enters the final year of his deal at the club, with talks over an extension dragging on (via The Guardian).
The Mirror reports that Young is earning somewhere in the region of £110,000 at United, and would need to take a pay cut if he is to make the move to White Heart Lane.
However, Spurs will likely need to sell either Aaron Lennon or Andros Townsend before they are able to bring the England international on board.
