Zlatan Ibrahimovic has fuelled speculation that a stunning move to Manchester United could be on the cards, after admitting that his future is out of hands.
According to the Daily Express, the enigmatic Swede’s odds of a move to Old Trafford have been slashed by some bookmakers in recent days, following Louis van Gaal’s insistence that the Red Devils were close to sealing a surprise signing.
And the 33-year-old has done little to distance himself from rumours of an Old Trafford switch by explaining that his agent will decide his next move.
“Will I stay in Paris? My future is in the hands of Mino Raiola,” he said.
The Express report however, that AC Milan are still favourites to seal his signature. Nevertheless, United supporters are likely to be urging van Gaal to do everything to make a deal happen if they are in fact, in the running.
The veteran boasts an impressive strike rate at every single club he has played for, with his spell in Ligue 1 reaping 75 goals in just 91 appearances. With the Dutchman looking desperately thin in terms of options, Ibrahimovic seems like the perfect signing this summer.
Not only does he continue to be brutally ruthless in front of goal, but he is also able to lead the line on his own which would mean that van Gaal does not necessarily have to find another striker during this window.
