Over the past 24 hours it has emerged that Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal has been the subject of a €40m offer from German giants Bayern Munich, only for the Italians to tell them that they wanted something closer to €45m (via Di Marzio).
Not long after that story broke, Chilean news source La Cuarta reported that a deal had been agreed between the two sides and that Bayern had seen off interest from Real Madrid for the 28-year-old.
The reports from Chile claim that Real had sent a representative over to Chile during the Copa America to spell out their desire to take him to the Bernabeu.
However, German outlet Sport1 have now chimed in with their two cents by stating that there was definite interest from Arsenal.
The report then goes on to explain that both Real and Arsenal were ready to firm up their interest with a bid until his drunken Ferrari smash.
Sport1 journalist Christian Ortlepp confirmed Arsenal’s interest on Twitter, though as yet none of the clubs have acted to confirm or deny the claims.

Just a week into the tournament Vidal smashed his Ferrari 458 Italia into another car and left it hanging over a ditch (via Fox Sports), he was then forced to issue a tearful apology as he luckily managed to escape jail time.
