The agent of Galatasaray defender Alex Telles has admitted that the the player could indeed make a move to Chelsea this summer, the Metro reports.
The 22-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to West London over the past week as a possible replacement for Felipe Luis, who rejoined former club Atletico Madrid (via Daily Mail).
And now the Metro claims that reports in Turkey are stating that The Blues have lodged an offer for the Brazilian youngster to take over from his compatriot at Stamford Bridge.
Telles’ agent, Fernando Otto, is quoted in Eurosport Turkey as saying: “There are clubs that are making offers although none have been official and he could play for Chelsea and PSG without using a foreign player space due to having an Italian passport but he is happy at Galatasaray.”
With three years still remaining on his current deal in Istanbul, it is thought that Galatasaray are reluctant to let him go this summer. However, the Metro believes that an offer of or above the €10m mark could force them to reconsider their stance.
However, reports elsewhere have claimed that Chelsea are closing in on a deal for Augsburg’s young Ghanaian full-back Abdul Baba Rahman (via Daily Star).
