Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has apparently made contact with the agent of Dinamo Kiev forward Andriy Yarmolenko in order to attempt to convince him to make the move to The Emirates this summer, the Daily Express reports.
However, The Express also claims that The Gunners are facing competition from the likes of Everton and Barcelona for the player’s signature, with a move to Barcelona said to be his favoured destination.
But that hasn’t stopped Arsene Wenger from making a late dash to snap him up, with reports in Spain claiming that he has been in touch with the player’s agent to try and convince him to change his mind.
And in a further boost to Arsenal’s chances, the Spanish champions have seemingly withdrawn from the race to snap him up.
Yarmolenko has established himself as a prolific goalscorer during his time in the Ukraine, and has scored 111 goals in 310 appearances for Dynamo Kyiv.
