Arsenal are said to be eager to complete a £21million move for Sevilla midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak as soon as possible, the Daily Express reports.
The Gunners have been tracking the Polish international for some time in the hope of adding more quality to their deeper midfield areas.
Manchester United are also believed to have displayed an interest, but reports in Spain are now suggesting that Arsenal will pay the player’s £21million release clause to bring him to The Emirates.
Krychowiak featured in all 90 minutes of Sevilla’s goalless draw with Malaga on Friday, and is quite obviously still in the Andalusian side’s plans.
However, both clubs are now thought to be waiting on the player to make a decision on whether he wants to make the move to the Premier League or stay where he is.
The 25-year-old only joined Sevilla last summer, and made 48 appearances for the club across all competitions, scoring four goals.
