Arsenal will be looking to push on this season, and an early season glass raiser against Chelsea would certainly go a long way to making sure they get off on the right foot.
Here is how we think they will line up against Chelsea on Sunday at Wembley.
GK: Petr Cech
Facing his former club for the first time, it’ll be interesting to see what kind of reception he will receive from the Chelsea fans.
RB: Hector Bellerin
The Spanish youngster finished the previous campaign as the club’d first choice right-back, and will likely pick up where he left off as he has given no reason for Wenger to think otherwise.
CB: Per Mertesacker
It’ll be a pivotal season for the BFG, as he will likely need to prove that he is still up to the demands of challenging at the very top.
CB: Laurent Koscielny
Mertesacker’s trusted lieutenant at the back, he will use this as an opportunity to get his fitness back before the big kick off next week.
LB: Kieran Gibbs
Though Nacho Monreal is on the verge of penning a new deal with the club, Wenger will likely give the England international one final chance to impress.
