Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey has opened up on the now infamous ‘Ramsey Curse’ that has seen a host of famous faces pass away whenever he finds the back of the net, the Metro reports.
The theory took flight across social media platforms with some claiming that the hex goes as far back as 2010, and up until now the Welsh international has been tight lipped on it.
Many attributed the deaths of Osama Bin Laden, Whitney Houston, Paul Walker, Steve Jobs and Robin Williams to the ‘curse’.
But now, Ramsey has addressed the urban legend in an interview citing the rumours as ‘ridiculous’.
“The most ridiculous rumour I’ve heard is that people die after I score,” he said.
“There have been loads of occasions where I’ve scored and somebody has died.
“That’s just a crazy rumour. Although I took out some baddies!”
Arsenal meet with Crystal Palace this weekend with Ramsey looking to get off the mark after a disappointing start to the season against West Ham.
