Aston Villa are set to continue their drastic summer overhaul with a deal for Roma playmaker Adem Ljajic after the two clubs reportedly agreed a fee, according to the Metro.
The Metro claims that the Serbian international is now being deemed surplus to requirements in the Italian capital after head coach Rudi Garcia brought in Mohamed Salah from Chelsea.
And a quick getaway now looks to be on the cards for the 23-year-old with Italian publication Il Tempo reporting that an agreement between Villa and Roma has been reached after officials from the Serie A side met with the Midlanders in London on Sunday.
Roma are keen to push the deal through as quickly as possible in order to fund a move for Inter Milan defender Juan Jesus, but the final decision will rest with Ljajic (via Metro).
Villa have brought in ten players already this summer, with the most high profile so far undoubtedly being Adama Traore from Barcelona for £7.1m (via The Guardian).
