Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich are set to make Thomas Muller a new and improved offer to keep him from joining Manchester United this summer, according to the Daily Express.
The Express reports that Bayern are bracing themselves to receive an offer of £71.9m for the World Cup winner having been earmarked as a possible marquee signing by Louis van Gaal after missing out on Barcelona star Pedro last week.
However, despite the imminent offer, Bayern are preparing to offer the 25-year-old a deal that will see him make an increase on his current £110,000-per-week contract as a reward for pledging his future to the club.
Bayern have already rejected an approach of around £60m for Muller from United and are already refusing to entertain anymore improved offers.
Pep Guardiola has already sold Bastian Schweinsteiger to United, but has bolstered his squad with the likes of Arturo Vidal and Douglas Costa, and now wants to concentrate on improving his side rather than selling off his best players.
