Tottenham are reportedly closing in on a £21.9m deal to sign Bayer Leverkusen forward Son Heung-Min, according to the Metro.
The 23-year-old is in London to undergo a medical, the Metro report, and is set to become Mauricio Pochettino’s second striker signing of the summer following the arrival of former Lyon man Clinton N’Jie.
The Metro add that Spurs have also made two unsuccessful bids for West Brom forward Saido Berahino.
Having begun the campaign with three first-team strikers, Pochettino made it clear that he only trusted Harry Kane as he left both Roberto Soldado and Emmanuel Adebayor out of each one of his matchday squads. Soldado has since returned to La Liga with Villarreal, while the former Arsenal man continues to be linked with a move to West Ham (via Daily Mirror).
Signing Son would provide the White Hart Lane side with the type of energetic, tireless player that Soldado and Adebayor have both failed to be.
