Chelsea are on the verge of making their third signing of the summer as Augsburg full-back Adbul Baba Rahman has reportedly completed his medical ahead of a £21m move, according to the Daily Express.
Having re-sold Felipe Luis back to Atletico Madrid earlier in the summer (via Daily Mail) The Blues have been on the look out for more cover in their wide defensive areas.
The Express report that Jose Mourinho highlighted his need to bring in a replacement for the Brazilian last week, and that was backed up by Kurt Zouma, who offered himself up as a makeshift left-back for this weekend’s clash with Manchester City (via ESPN).
“We need a left-back, the board know that and my feeling is that we are going to have one,” Mourinho said.
But it now appears as though Mourinho has finally got his wish, with SportBild journalist Christian Falk confirming on Twitter that Rahman had successfully completed his medical at Stamford Bridge.

The 21-year-old is expected to provide Cesar Azpilicueta, though Mourinho could decide to move the Spaniard over to his preferred right hand flank after regular right-back Branislav Ivanovic came in for some serious criticism for his lacklustre performance against Swansea last weekend.
