Chelsea have seen a sensational offer for Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba rejected by the Serie A champions, the Metro reports.
The 22-year-old has become one of the world’s most in demand players following three impressive years in Italy.
Blues boss Jose Mourinho refused to rule out a move for the France international during his Friday press conference (via Metro), though he remained coy when quizzed on whether a deal is in the works.
“He is a Juventus player. I cannot speak about a Juventus player,” Mourinho said.
“I know (Juventus coach) Massimiliano Allegri was speaking about Oscar and Ramires all summer, but I don’t do that about Juventus players. Only Allegri can speak about him, not me.”
The Metro goes on to highlight Juve’s recent interest in Chelsea duo Oscar and Ramires, while head coach Max Allegri is also thought to be keen on bringing winger Juan Cuadrado back to the Italian top flight at some point following his disappointing spell at Stamford Bridge.
And though the exact sum of Chelsea’s supposed offer has not been revealed, a report in the Daily Mirror has explained that Juventus see the France international as ‘intransferrable’.
