A Premier Sports commentator has apparently let slip that Manchester United have made a ‘huge bid’ for Tottenham striker Harry Kane, according to the Metro.
The comment was made during a pre-season friendly with Italian giants AC Milan in the Audi Cup, with the commentator highlighting Kane’s absence from the squad despite initial plans for him to be playing.

“Harry Kane was planning to be in the squad. He’s not here this afternoon – he was yesterday,” he said.
“There are talks at the moment that there has been a huge offer from Manchester United.”
Louis van Gaal had expressed an interest in the England international earlier in the summer, and it now appears as though he may be ramping up his efforts to bring him on board.
United are well known to be in the market for new reinforcements in attack, having let Robin van Persie leave as well as not taking up the option to prolong Radamel Falcao’s loan deal.
