Paris Saint-Germain have today confirmed on their official website that Angel Di Maria has completed his much-anticipated move from Manchester United.
The Argentinian has signed a four-year deal with the Ligue 1 side (via club’s official website), but the club have yet to confirm the fee, although BBC Sport stated on Wednesday that the Red Devils were set to receive £44.3m for the man they paid £59.7m one year ago.
The 27-year-old revealed that he was delighted to finally make the switch to Laurent Blanc’s side, and hoped to help the team win the ultimate prize in European football (via club’s official website).

“I want to win every competition we enter, both in France and Europe. I want to win the Champions League, which is a dream for all footballers, for a second time. We will do everything we can to bring Europe’s biggest trophy to France and the fans of Paris Saint-Germain,” he stated.
The club’s president Nasser Al Khelaifi suggested that the transfer highlighted the side’s rise in the game.
“By signing Angel Di Maria, Paris Saint-Germain is once again showing the club’s constant ambition to reach the summits of the European game,” he said.
United fans will be pleased that the saga has finally reached a conclusion, as the former Real Madrid man never managed to find his best form at Old Trafford, despite an exciting start.
Should BBC Sport’s reported fee be correct, supporters will be pleased that his difficult year in the Premier League did not have that large an impact on his value, as it should still allow Louis van Gaal to find a replacement before the window closes.
